The Okanagan has more lakefront than any one summer can cover. These are the kinds of places we keep going back to. Check current conditions, parking and park rules before you head out.
Kelowna
Gyro Beach and Kelowna City Park are the classic city-side picks, with easy parking, shade and a short walk to food. Good for a first-timer or a quick after-work swim.
Vernon and Kalamalka
Kalamalka Lake is known for its colour on a clear day. Kaloya Regional Park and the beaches around Vernon suit a slower, quieter afternoon.
Penticton and Skaha
Skaha Lake Park has the wide beach and the long summer evenings. It is a good spot for a family day with room to spread out.
South Okanagan
Osoyoos has the warmest water in the valley and a different, drier landscape. Plan for sun and bring more water than you expect.
What to bring
A hat, a spare layer and a good attitude cover most of it. Our trucker caps, tees and hoodies are made for the trip, and the story behind the label is short.
